The ideas that lead to the creation of Momentum Sports came together over time. Most people might think we are crazy to start a business in a small town in the middle of a financial downturn. But we see it as the perfect opportunity to create our very own mecca for cyclists. With Cambridge, NY being the home to the Tour of the Battenkill and thousands of acres of state forest there is no location that could be more opportune to the long term development of cycling. Together the owners of Momentum Sports, Stephen Aalderink and Andrew Flynn, share a vision to create a welcoming atmosphere where both beginners and experts alike can have a positive cycling experience.

With experience ranging from event management to back end web development, Andrew brings together everything Momentify has to offer. Whether it’s meeting with a supplier, or coding a site from scratch he’s a hands on director that does what it takes to make sure everyone is happy.
Stephen Aalderink- Fit Specialist, Coaching Guru, Tuning Master
Most bike shops don’t have a true big picture guy that can take a step back and come up with truly innovative ideas. But Stephen is our guy for that and has a hand in everything we do. When not in the shop Steve spends his time with his wife Susan and 3 little red heads Julia, Lila, and Sayde.

Chloe- The Resident Dog
Chloe can’t hear well, makes strange noises, eats like a horse and has absolutely wretched breath. If she were a human she’d be un-hireable, but since she’s a dog everyone loves her. We like keep her around to remind us that you don’t have to be perfect to be a truly captivating personality. Just stick to your guns and bark if you need something.
