Back at it…

Well, we are all situated in our new space – its nice and cool on these hot humid days we’ve been having and with the extra space things are laid out nice and easy to find. The work space has been ratcheted up a bit, have a bunch of new fangled tools, gauges and other techie wonderful things to make your bike purr.
I’ve also managed to hit some of our local trails just outside of town, stay tuned for updates as I will be making maps which will be available at the shop and in pdf format for you to download post haste.
If you haven’t yet, come check out our new space underneath the Chinese restaurant – I usually have all sorts of interesting things going on…Jazz, wheat grass and a smattering of bikes, new and used.

Our First Graduate!

To kick off our winter bike tuning classes we had a preliminary run of it with local BMX racer Macklind Lorenz. Mack graduated with the class with flying colors and received his diploma in the most awkward manner we could conceive.

Rather than being a pretentious shop that only offers certain services, and only caters to certain customers we’d like to be known as the bike shop that anyone can feel comfortable walking into without fear of being cast as an outsider. We feel that one of the ways we can begin to do this for customers of all ages, budgets, and athletic abilities is to ask a simple question.

What can we do for you?

Should we carry more road bikes? More BMX bikes and comfort cruisers? Would a custom fit from a certified fit specialist be what your looking for? How about a professional bike tune up? Momentum Wins All Over

This weekend was a good weekened for the Momentum Locals with 4 golds being won through the area.

On the mountain biking circuit both Mike Conklin and George Whalen placed first in the downhill races at Platekill, While on the BMX track Macklind Lorenz won golds on both Saturday and then again on Sunday to round out the weekend.

Who Did Our Web Design?

Well, we did. In upstate New York bike shops are seasonal, and to be able to operate at the capacity we’d like to during the cycling season- we do other things in the off season! After-all, if a ski shop can turn into stores that sell patios in the summer, it shouldn’t be too crazy for a couple bike shop guys to use their marketing backgrounds in the off season.
